In today’s episode, Teresa talks with Tomasz Obloj and Todd Zenger about the impacts of the recent trend toward pay transparency in the workplace.

Tomasz Obloj is an Associate Professor of Strategy at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Todd Zenger is the N. Eldon Tanner Chair in Strategy and Strategic Leadership at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.

As of January 1, 2023, California’s SB 1162 revised existing pay transparency laws to require employers, upon request, to provide an employee with the pay scale for the position in which the employee is currently employed.

Teresa, Todd, and Tomasz talk about the pros and cons of pay transparency and some surprises they found in their research.
