Episode #96 – The Great Resignation: A New Perspective : Adria Horn

Today’s guest is Adria Horn. Teresa and Adria discuss The Great Resignation. Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, there has been an increase in employee resignations. In 2021, there were 4.7 million people that resigned. Just in the start of 2022, there have been 4.5 million.

Adria is a lieutenant colonel in the US Army Reserve and an army veteran who served five tours of duty overseas between 2003 and 2010. She wrote an article in January 2022, called “A military veteran knows why your employees are leaving.” In it, she explains her theories of why so many people are leaving the workforce due to the pandemic. She uses her unique perspective from the military and relates it to the pandemic and how it really affected employees, employers, and the workplace.
